What's your "slept too long" point?

15 hours last night, and surprisingly, I'm not in that horrible can't wake up funk that happens when I sleep too long. Normally, anything over 10 and I'm like a zombie for at least half the day after. Maybe I went past that and all the way around to sleeping for the next day :)

  • I'll let ya know when it happens. So far, it hasn't.

  • I slept too long if I wake up and there is an enormous mess in the kitchen from kids who were up too early. I'm not sure what my slept too long point is, as I usually don't get to sleep in that late. The boys are up at 5am every day.

  • More than 10 hours makes me groggy. Won't stop me from sleeping more than 10 hours if I ever got the chance though (which is never anyway). 8-9 is perfect for me, 6 makes me at least functional.

  • 11ish, I guess. It's only happened once recently, and with ds starting school in a few months I doubt I'll have the chance for it to happen again, haha

  • I don't honestly know. I know once, when I was about 19 (before kids), I slept one night for 16 hours. But I was utterly exhausted from working about 7 12 hour days in a row, so it didn't make me feel bad.

These days, I don't get to sleep long enough to know what the "slept too long" point is anymore. lol Lately, I've been heading to bed around 10 or 11, and getting up between 6:30 and 7 - which is way earlier than I like, but it doesn't seem to be making me tired, either.

  • I'd love to know what it feels to sleep to much. Going to bed around 11 and up around 5:30/6:00 doesn't lead to any over sleeping.
