  • "anime our friend has no clue about the world around her...."

Yes, which is the definition of psychosis. It's entertaining to me that someone can believe what she believes and insist that she is right and that she is so educated. People like her are good for nothing but cheap entertainment. Responding to her in any other way just gives validity to her arguments (in her mind at least) because she thinks we must be getting mad for a reason and that reason must be because she's right. By seeing her for what she is and not giving her fuel, her points remain invalid and ignorant.

  • It's basically a general knowledge issue. Marriage existed before religion did, and no matter how much people really want to believe their personal religion invented it, history proves them wrong over and over again. As more people learn the facts, even if they don't like it, they have to accept reality, just as they had to accept black Americans receiving the same full rights as white, or women being allowed to vote.

  • Um, is it bad that I'm just waiting for our friend to get home from church and answer this? Though her responses are generally annoying, disrespectful, and ignorant, I find them very entertaining as well.

  • you could travel back in time and replace the ____ with a number of 'terms' to describe one aspect of people.
and this would hold true. A shame that you most likely could travel forward in time and replace the ___, and will hold also true.

trend of greater acceptance of same-sex marriage

  • Honestly, I hope this country legalizes same sex marriage soon and gets on with looking at issues that are vastly more important in preserving its well-being and prosperity. So much time and energy has been spent on squabbling over same sex marriage at the expense of other pressing issues, it's phenomenal.

I agree. But it begs the question-why do people care so damn much about gays?!! I mean really. There are kids starving on the streets of America and people give a fuck about who their neighbor is in love with? Priorities people-priorities.
