  • We took our son's Godparents & their children out for lunch at a nice steakhouse afterwards.

  • No I would think it would be the other way around...
the only gift my son got was a children's BIble from the church.

  • I don't think I would give them a gift on the day of his baptism, but if I believed in baptizing infants I would probably take a picture of my child and the god parents and then put it in a lovely frame and give it to them afterwards as a keepsake.

  • A small "token" gift would be nice. Lunch out afterwards or a picture of the baby being baptized would be most thoughtful. Or a small living plant if they like plants, something like that, and make the gift small (and relatively inexpensive). A gift of money or something expensive is in bad taste and not needed.

  • most people take them out afterwards or invite them to a party at the families house.
