Do I get my son's God parents a gift on the day of his Baptism?

  • No, just being the Godparent's is the honor! Most Godparent's will host a home or restaurant party either before or after the baptism, and will give your son a gift--gift cards/cash, savings bonds, or a religious keepsake/family heirloom. :o)

  • Forgot to add, perhaps a nicely framed photograph of the Godparent's holding your son in his baptism attire would be a nice "thank you" gift.

  • I didn't with my first two but my last one I did. They weren't expecting a gift at all and were very pleased. You can google God Parents gifts and several sites will come up.

  • I always did. It was more of a Thank You gift then anything else. I bought things I knew theyd personally like and might not buy for themselves.

  • I did, but it was very simple. What I got my son's God parents were these little things that said something about being a God Parent. They were less than $10 each.
