Allergies, my daughter has never had allergies untill now the doctor says its the rainy wheather?

my daughter is now 7yrs old she was having a bad cough red eyes n a stuffy/runny nose, the doc says its from the damp/rainy weather, she has eye drops n nasal spray, should I schedule her an allergy test,? has anyone experienced this b4?

  • People can develop new allergies at any age. If you're getting a lot of rain, it could be from mold.

    If she's not getting relief from otc meds, I'd schedule her up with an allergist.

  • Even people, like me with no allergies, are sensitive when the mold count goes too high. She will be fine most years and then it will be a bad year.

  • try kids Claritin and see if it makes a difference. the weather can cause new mold and pollen to blow around so he could be right. Or it's a cold but it does sound like allergies.
