  • No, he won't forget you. But he may be clingy to his grandparents when you return because they will have grown familiar to him.

  • No but they hell would you allow them to take your child for a month??

Answer by LostSoul88 at 7:05 PM on Jun. 25, 2013

  • No but a month is a REALLY long time... is there a necessity that calls for them to have him for that long?

  • He won't forget you in a month, but don't be surprised when he cries after you get him back. A month is an awfully long time to be away from your child, especially one that young.

  • Why in the heck would you leave a one year old for longer than a few hours?
He won't forget you but I bet you have a doozy of an abandonment issue, both from you leaving him (abandoning him) and then taking him from the new home he has just gotten used to ( grandparents abandoning him)

He is too young to reason out that these are his grandparents who love him and you will return, even if it is 1/2 of his lifetime later.
Worse if he does not even know his grandparents that well.
