What are the health risks of smoking?

I don't want to quit because I will be overly emotional borderline insane for a week or two. I do not want to get so angry at my children. So please. Rattle off a list of cons. There are no pros to smoking. Its just hard to quit.

  • Seriously?

I think the fact that hearing someone cough up phlegm every second grosses me out alone.

Next, we have the wrinkle issue.... I'm 49 and I see people my age that look 70 from smoking.

Next we have the breathing issue.... I'm not sure about you, but I enjoy breathing.

Here's a whole list- and as a fellow smoker, I can feel where you're coming from.  Knowing what's wrong about it doesn't make it any easier to quit.  GL!

  • im also a former smoker. focusing on the immediate benefits of quitting was what helped me finally do it cold turkey after 9 years. this upcoming new year's day will be 2 years since my last cigarette.

  • I have been smoking for 13 years. I don't want to die a preventable death or spend years suffering from it. I hope it is not too late.

Think about your habit doing this to your kids.

  • Honestly, I don't know how anybody living in this country in this day and age could possibly be unaware of the health risks associated with smoking. They've been very well publicized.
