Quick- how can I cook frozen chicken?

I suck at cooking. I put two chicken breasts in a pot of cold water - I am assuming this will un-freeze them.

What can I do to cook them?

I need a play by play here.

  • okay... do you have any pasta? rice? Cream soups? Mayonnaise for chicken salad? Sounds like boil may be you way to go... if it get thawed enough you can cut it into bites and stir fry it...

  • season them and put them in a baking dish you can cover. Cook then at 350 covered for an hour then uncover them to finish cooking them through.


    boil them and make a casserole with them. That would be faster


    Do you have a grill? George Froman or otherwise?

  • put them under running cold water in the sink and they'll thaw faster (cold not hot - counter-intuitive, but that's how it works best)

  • The key here will be defrosting it fast.
    I'd nuke it.
    Then you have to determine what other ingredients you have to make it into something.

  • Well I have put frozen chicken in the crock pot. It came out fine.
    Or you can seaon them, put them in tin foil sprinkle some olive oil on the. Slap the in a 400 Degree oven for 45 minutes.

  • STOVE TOP Easy Chicken Bake

    1 pkg.  (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix
    1-1/2 lb.  boneless skinless chicken breasts (or whatever chicken you're using)
    1 can  (10-3/4 oz.) condensed cream of chicken soup
    1/3 cup  BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
    1 pkg.  (16 oz.) frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, corn, green beans, peas), thawed, drained (or any vegie)

    HEAT oven to 400ºF.
    PREPARE stuffing as directed on package.
    MIX remaining ingredients in 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; top with stuffing.
    BAKE 30 min. or until chicken is done.

  • Word up! They thawed completely in the cold water, I sliced and diced it and stir fry we have!

    It's delicious! But I ruined the rice. Shit.
