  • I haven't gotten any online, but I go to used book stores all the time. I don't mind buying used books. Sometimes I will get stuff from Amazon sellers that are used because the new price is just ridiculous!

  • Really by the time you pay shipping you are much better off putting an ad on Craigslist, and asking people to contact you when they have books, I shop and trade at used bookstores all of the time.
Last time I had a garage sale, I couldn't even get 50 cents for a book.
There are also over 150,000 free books online avaialble.

  • This site has free shipping. I have a few used book stores near me but they are at least 40 minutes away.

  • Yep, you can list the site here. I also buy used books online, too, mostly from Amazon but there are a lot of other good sites. I actually have lots of books I need to sell. There are also book/item swap groups you can join. You can swap old magazines for others you don't subscribe to, baby clothes for toddler clothes, etc. Why buy or pay for new when someone else is willing to swap or give it away? Craigslist is also a good place to find lots of free items. Goodwill is also a nice place to find some super cheap items, like furniture and vintage designer clothes. Libraries have also expanded their digital book collections, so you can check out eBooks online for free. I still use my old school library access to read books and magazines for free. What books do you generally look for?

  • Then put it up! I don't think you will get in trouble, I would love to order books I would like to read for free shipping, do they buy them as well? I have probably 1,000 books I need to get rid of before we move.

  • I go to goodwill but when you have a specific book it's not always there.
