What temperature do you set your thermostat at for the summer?

  • We live in the desert and have a swamp cooler. We turn it on in the morning and hope it stays under 80. It depends on how hot and/or how humid it is outside that day. If it is humid outside the darn thing doesn't work and it is super hot, as long as it is dry, it works really well.
    It is 101 right now outside and 77 in the house. If it goes under 70 we turn it down or off.

  • It varies. I have a rather large half arch window in my living room. During the summer I have it covered, but it still gets sooo hot in here. I usually turn it down to 73 when I am home. 76 when I am away. And it just depends at night.
