Parenting Tip: Do u know that restarting your computer when it's slow helps prevent viruses?

Important for kids to be able to use their computers. U still need the RIGHT antiviral software (Some software does not work so ask your friends what works for them) because viruses can still creep in. Even with the RIGHT antiviral software, restart your computer when it's acting slow.

No, it's misinformation. Restarting your computer has nothing to do with viruses, and if restarting it makes it run faster, it's not a virus issue, it's a memory issue, most likely due to a program either not shutting down completely or having a memory leak. That or you were running more things at a time than your computer can handle.

  • Advicegirl, The only advice I would trust when my computer is acting up would be NPs.

I'm afraid with a name like yours, you won't be well accepted because no one here wants advice, they want you to agree.
