Have you had a mammogram?

I just had my first one today. It wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. I heard two different woman screaming like they were being tortured. It is uncomfortable, yes, but not that bad!

Have you had one? Did it hurt you?

  • Breast cancer runs in my family, so yes, I have had many many mammograms. I find them to be a bit painful, but I would rather go through the pain than have advanced breast cancer.

  • I had one, when I was 27. It was pretty painful for me, but my doctor found a lump and insisted I go that day, and I was about to start my period, so they were already pretty tender. Luckily, the lump was nothing, but I still remember that. My boobs ache just thinking about it. lol

  • I haven't but my ex-husband did when we were newly weds. He found a lump while taking a shower 1 day and dr needed to know how big it was. It ended up being a non-cancerous tumor and he had it removed. I'm glad yours wasn't that painful.

  • I have had one every year sense I was 40. That's when Tricare starts allowing them. No worse then getting a pap smear.
