Can you get hemorroids in the vaginal area?

I know this is TMI but I have had hemorrhoids since I had my baby 8 months ago. I had a c section but I got the hemorrhoids due to all the pain medication I took. Well lately, my vaginal area has been very itchy (not inside the vagina) and it feels almost raw down there when i wipe after peeing. This is weird but I took a mirror down there and it almost looks like hemorrhoids close to the vagina and there is a a weird spot where its feeling raw. Could this all be hemorrhoids or what? I don't think I have a yeast infection because I don't have discharge and the itching isn't inside of the vagina. PLEASE HELP!

  • No, you can't. Hemorrhoids are swollen tissue or a swollen varicose vein located in the anus or rectum. You have something else going on. It could still be an external yeast infection or a fungal infection such as tinea cruris (AKA: Jock itch). You NEED to talk to your doctor!!

  • See your doctor. This could be an STD.

  • I've never heard of it, but who knows? Make an appointment with your gynecologist.

  • It most certainly CAN be a yeast infection. Although we tend to think of them as being vaginal, you can get them all over your body, including on your vulva. Why not give an OTC vulvar yeast cream a try?

I have no idea what is causing the bumps ... unless it's skin tags. They often start by looking like small warts.

  • I guess you could have a varicose vein down there..... You need to ask your Dr.

  • I'm sorry. I have to laugh at the fact that someone bumped this question and it said "1 bump" on it.

Hope your vag roids are identifiable by the gyno. Please update us on what they are.

  • Yes, make an apt with your ob. it could just be a pimple. I've had something one time before like that. And luckily it wasn't an sdt.
    good luck
