New idea, husband and I will have the reception for the "tacky" wedding.

We are going to call him and tell him we will have it for him in our backyard, I can make lasagna, etc. in lieu of a gift.
My husband's boss (the presiden) is livid over the email, do you think this is the right idea or no?
Bride to be will not have 1 person here, she is Canadian, and no family, we would like to do this for him.
Husband and I have a good relationship with boss, she reminds me alot of Michelle Obama, very direct, so I am going to call her in the AM and say not everyone knows what to do, for all we know this may be shot gun wedding, LOL!

  • I think it is an awesome thing to do for them. They are obviously clueless.

  • That is very nice of you to do for them. I would let the boss sleep on it, let her cool down & call her tomorrow. I'm sure your husband can smooth things over by explaining that the guy is inexperienced in etiquette & won't be using the company computers or fax machines for personal matters any more.

  • That's nice of you. I hope you volunteered instead of getting drafted.

  • That is a very kind gesture. Have they accepted your offer?
However the couple need to sit down and hand write the change and hand deliver the notes.

Crafty, I am trying to figure out why you feel so bad for the couple.
