Should u still?

Should you still have a period if you had a vaginal tear a week befor your period? I bled 5 days from this tear nd now I haven't started my period. So just wondering if that's why? What do you think ladies?

  • Could it be that you were bleeding from the tear & your period at the same time? Maybe you are just stressed out because of the tear & threw off your period. A period has nothing to do with the vagina, it's the uterus shedding. Different locations. Hope you feel better soon.

  • A vaginal tear should not have any effect on your period because your period is part of a cycle - ovulation, shedding of uterine lining when no fertilized egg is implanted -> period. An injury would not interrupt this cycle (but if you're stressing about it that could delay ovulation which in turn could delay your period).

  • Did you take a plane to go on Vacation? Sometimes that can throw off your Period.

  • I was spose to have my period on the 29th of June I tore a week an half before this date. Which would put me 3 days late?? The most I am ever late is 5 days.... I'm on vacation so I'm not stressing just laying on the beach and having a great time :)

  • Tearing is usually from trauma. Trauma can cause hormonal changes that can throw off your cycle.
