Ideas on how to make a huge tree stump pretty! LOL!

We just had a huge tree cut down because 1/2 broke away & fell on the fence & the other part was leaning towards the house. Now I have a huge (in diameter) tree stump left over. I'm not going to pay to have it ground down so how do I make it pretty! LOL!

C'mon all you creative ones!!!

  • I'm shooting in the dark here--pun intended--because I have no idea what the stump looks like. Could you put a planter on top of it and flowers around it? Or maybe make it into a little picnic table with stools around? Could you put mulch around it on the ground and let your kids climb on it?

  • My neighbor had a 600 yr old tree in her yard that came down in a storm, and she had to cut the rest of it down. She put a statue of a horse rearing up on the stump, and then put flowers in pots all around it. It's very pretty (although still sad that a 600 yr old tree is gone).
