  • Boil some water in the saucepan and it should make the wax soft enough to pour off. If that doesn't work, add a pinch of salt and some dish soap, not dishwasher detergent, to the pan when you boil the water. Boiled dish soap doesn't smell too nice, but the pan will get clean as a whistle. Don't scratch the crayon off if the pan is coated with anything like Teflon that might chip.

  • Basically you melted and wipe it out but you should not use a pan for food it you have used it to melt crayons or wax of any kind.

  • Yeah I agree with the other moms. Heat it, wipe it with paper towels, add a big squirt of dish soap, rub with paper towel and very little water. Rinse and repeat as necessary.
