What do you serve your kids for lunch in the summer?

Today it's egg salad. Sometimes we have cold cut sandwiches, or tuna, quesadillas, or chicken nuggets or frozen pizza. My daughter often just wants fruit and yogurt. I'd like to find some new ideas.

  • I really try to feed them leftovers from the previous night's dinner. Otherwise, whatever I can scrounge.... usually the same kind of stuff you listed.

  • My kids usually want pb&j's but sometimes we do make your own pizzas with English muffins, pizza sauce, cheese and toppings and we eat a lot of leftovers.

  • It varies: leftovers, ramen, soups, pasta salad, sandwiches (tuna, egg salad, fried egg, cold cuts, pb&j), frozen pizza, tv dinners (rare, but sometimes), corn dogs.

  • when they were younger- sandwiches, mac and cheese, hot dogs, spaghettios, grilled cheese, cheese crisps, leftovers, ramen, soup, pizza

    *now they are teens and tend to make thier own lunches

  • Lettuce wraps, quinoa salad, homemade lunchables, breakfast tacos, leftovers, hot dogs, biscuits stuffed with pizza toppings, salads. Plus fruit and Greek yogurt on the side

  • Oh another thing she likes is the Sobo Noodles bowls. They have different favors, but the shrimp is her favorite. It is high in sodium so I only let her have one a week or so.

    Also, some days we do snacky lunches. Cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, avocados, boiled eggs, broccoli and cheese slices.

  • We do a lot of leftovers, or sandwiches of some sort, chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, ramen noodles, tuna, wraps, quesadillas, and whatever else might sound good. It's not a big production here at all. Pretty much I cook breakfast, then it's every man for himself til dinner.
