Oxford or Webster's dictionary for 1st grader?

  • Dictionary.com is okay for at home but she needs a pocket one for school. I used Websters growing up but my nephew's school specifically asked for Oxford. So was just wondering was there a difference in the two.

  • I prefer Webster's myself, but you could always ask the school. I think there probably is a difference, but I couldn't tell you what it is.

  • I think Webster is what you can still find in most classrooms. I would go with that.
