Remember when your kids were little?

cryingAnd you would think "I can't wait until they are older so I can have a minute to myself". Well, now my kids are older and I have too much time to myself. I barely see my kids anymore since they are busy working, hanging with their friends or going to school (and I work full time myself). I really did cherish the time I had with my children and have lots of great memories. Guess I'm feeling lonely tonight.

  • hugs Sounds like mama needs a hobby.  Or grandchildren! :) It's Friday night- have a friend over or go out for a girls' night out.  This is the time to catch up on things you always wanted to do, but didn't have the time.  I know you miss them, but trust me, no matter how old they get, they will ALWAYS need their mama! :)

  • yeah..but I still wouldn't want all that went with little ones back!

*my daughter moved out almost a month ago, and it's been pretty quiet around here since her brother has no one to annoy or fight with!

  • This is part of the reason I'm okay with spacing my kids out. Once one leave there will still be plenty of time before the next one does lol. Though that might also be a downfall lol.

  • I often tell young moms to cherish them as kids because one day you will want it all back.....but other things come from their adulthood, if you get it right, they will never dessert you. My kids live close by, and we talk daily, and I see them all daily or every other day. And now I have a grandchild that ties us together even more...but I made sure, they would think of me with a smile on their face and love in their hearts no matter how busy it gets for them or me, we make time for each other...

  • Aw, Mom, I hear you. I'm only just thinking about sending my kiddo off to kindergarten next month, but it's got me teary-eyed tonight. I can't believe how fast it goes! Wasn't she just a tiny baby a few blinks ago?
