  • I thought it WAS a joke when I first saw it this afternoon. But KTVU and the NTSB have issued an apology.

  • I commented on the now deleted post. I am glad that they have apologized for the incident however a bit of due diligence on their part would have prevented it from occurring at all.

  • Supposedly they DID do due diligence, calling the NTSB. An *intern* answered the phone and confirmed the names! Absolutely crazy.

    But to me it's even worse that the anchor asked no questions!

  • Exactly! Its possible she was cold-reading the copy (it happens a lot) but something should have made her slow down and say, "What the HELL?"
