  • They don't like the way you dress-None of their business
They don't like what you feed your family-None of their business
They don't like your messy house-Again, None of their business

Unless....You live with them! Do you?

  • A little more info would be helpful.

  • Then do what your husband says. Ignore it. You cannot make people like you. If you have to try to make them like you, their affection is not worth having.

  • Yeah... Need more info... Why don't they like you "no more"??

  • So listen to your Husband & ignore it. Their loss not yours.

  • What caused them to stop liking you and start being mean to you?

  • You must have done something. Change your ways and apologize.

  • I'll tell you something that took me seven years to figure out for myself : You CAN'T make them like you. Some people will choose to think of you however they please, whether you've deserved it or not. Whether they agree with your way of life (parenting, dress, etc, etc) or not, remember that you are just as worthy of respect as they are - it is NOT a one way street where you are meant to bend over backwards to appease them, they owe it to you to try to show respect for you as well. You are your husband's wife, the mother of their grandchild/ren, and that maintains a level of respect on its own, without you having to go out of your way to make them happy. If you're doing your part to be respectful and civil, etc, then that's all that matters. You can't control any more than that, and if they choose to be rude or rock the boat when you are trying to maintain peace, that's on them, not you.

  • Your husband should stand up to them, or just decide to not be around them.
