Is it ok if i accidently put to much milk in hamburger helper?

I usually use 2 boxes for my family but I wanted to make enough for tomorrow's dinner to so I don't have to cook since its been so hot. Well I didn't notice until after it was done cooking and we started eating it. It called for cup water so that is 4 cups total. Then 2 cups milk so 4 boxes it should been 8 cups milk I put 2 cups to much. Does it matter? It does taste a little different, but wanted to make sure to much milk wasn't a problem?

  • You can make your HH however you want, to your liking. It won't make you sick unless you use expired ingredients. It just might not taste the same as normal.

  • Yeah that's fine. If you had done it on purpose though the meal would have eaten YOU!

Thank goodness it was an accident!

  • It should be fine it maybe just a bit off on the taste but sitting overnight should help.

  • It won't be as thick but a little cornstarch and water should help it thicken back up if it is a problem.

  • You've already finished eating it?

It would just mean that it would be a bit soupy. Not sure what other problem there could be, especially if the meal is finished.

  • add a few more noodles to soak up the extra juice...it will be fine
OR add a bit of corn starch- like But Mommie said
