To particular CM member here who thinks only certain US citizens should be allowed to have constitutional rights...

"as far as Zimmerman goes- poor baby- followed, and shot a kid and killed him for WHAT? And now he has to live with that? boo effing hoo I do not feel sorry for him AT ALL honestly..."

You are have no idea at all about anything do you? Yes Z killed a MAN, he was acquitted by a jury because the proof is just not there for a murder conviction. But even if he did 'murder' him and got lucky, no one should be put through this!!! . I put up another post about what our own federal govt is doing. And on Monday afternoon, the DOJ appealed to civil rights groups and the general public across the country for “tips” on George Zimmerman in their pursuit of potential federal civil rights charges against the just-acquitted defendant in the Trayvon Martin killing. The DOJ actually went so far as to set up an e-mail address to allow such tips: The DOJ is risking double jeopardy if they continue with this bullshit.""And now he has to live with that?""

And now I find out the NBPP has issued another $10,000 bounty on his head!?! ""And now he has to live with that?"" And the govt does nothing?? You are ok with this happening?? To a American citizen? If the govt is able to do this to one american, do you really think its gonna stop there?? FUCK NO it will not. I know many members here are tired of the Zimmerman thing, I am too, but what our govt is doing to this man is unconstitutional. He was declared NOT GUILTY. Zimmerman is entitled to have civil right as well as anyone else in America. And his civil rights have been more violated the a pedophile in a prison shower.

But yet so many people think Z violated Martin's rights. What did Z do? How did he violate Martin's right? Nobody has said anything except the DOJ is pursuing Z with a hate crime. And you actually do not care? How would you feel if a child of yours couldn't commucate with you out of fear somebody can trace the call to you and murder you? ""And now he has to live with that?"  Cannot talk with any other memebers of the family in fear of someone finding out and murdering his family? ""And now he has to live with that?""

Murder or self defense, what our federal govt is allowing all this to happen because the media made this about race, when it never was. The NAACP is pressuring the govt to do something. Sharpton and his merry band of snakes of race baiting, and encourging others to riot. IMO, Sharpton needs to be locked up and the rest of his merry band of snakes to see what violation reallty means.

Honestly?? You do not care?? Just think about it...if this witch hunt is successful, a bunch of other constitutional rights are in danger too...

  • So, I assume you are ok if someone follows Z because "those F'in punks always get away with it" and when Z turns around and tries to defend himself, it's ok if he gets shot to death, because the follower feared for his life. Right?

Answer by Anonymous at 8:54 PM on Jul. 18, 2013

  • No I think the point is that they DO care. Here Zimmerman shot a child(he was not yet 18 so he was not a legal adult yet thus he is still considered a child, regardless of how much you don't like it) which resulted in a death and Zimmerman got off Scott-free without so much as a manslaughter charge not even an "involuntary manslaughter" charge. Acquittal's should only arise in case of a PERFECT self-defense. Since Zimmerman was instructed on a call NOT to pursue it SHOULD have eliminated the chance for acquittal. Forget race for a minute (I know it's hard for you, you're so pent up on it) and focus on the fact that a man took the "law" into his own hands and disregarded dispatcher instructions to WAIT for police to show up and a death results. Now compare to similar cases. Zimmerman should NOT have gotten away scott-free without legal ramifications.

  • People, why are we beating this dead horse? I tend to agree that the justice systm has done its job, not because of the outcome but because justice isn't getting the outcome you want. It's getting acquitted or convicted by a jury of your peers. But either way, nobody is going to change anyone else's mind, here on CM or anywhere.

  • Now that doesn't mean Martin was "innocent" either by all means. The trial was severely mishandled, IMO and I do not think Zimmerman should have gotten an acquittal because he was not acting in prefect self-defense.

  • You are so freakishly obsessed with this case and anyone who disagrees with you that it is sort of spooky

Answer by Anonymous at 9:49 PM on Jul. 18, 2013

  • Why? Because what if that's your child that gets followed and killed. He was a CHILD. Not a man a child. Zimmerman was told not to pursue it any farther and he did, had he not we wouldn't be here today.
