Can I deposit a check into a credit union bank and have the funds shown immediately to the account owner?

Or does it need to be cash to show as a deposit that day?

  • ^^That's what I was thinking. I believe it is dependent upon how the bank handles their deposits and how quickly they credit to an account. For instance, when I deposit a check into Chase, it is immediately credited. When I deposit a check into my CU account, it takes three days for funds to become available
