  • Lansinoh cream. Make sure you let your nipples dry out before you put your bra back on. Make sure your breast pads are not lined with plastic...it will prevent the flow of oxygen and could make the chapping worse.

  • I would look into your pump & how you are pumping, your nipples really shouldn't hurt after pumping. Make sure your horns are the correct size (you can order bigger ones if need be, your nipple should not touch the horn during pumping), also make sure you have the correct suction level.

  • Whenever you begin nursing or pumping, it can make your nipples sore, even if you're doing it properly. They shouldn't be absolutely chapped or bleeding but sore? Yes. You can help this by letting your nipples air-dry after pumping (let the breast milk dry onto your nipples, don't wipe them off) before putting a bra back on. Make sure your breast pads are absorbent and don't contain plastic like someone else said. Wear 100% cotton bras and tops. Mystery fabrics can only make things worse and less breathable. Also try putting on some Lansinoh cream after each pumping session.

  • using lansinoh cream works but may also try using a warm compress as this helps soothe sore and chapped nipples. There is also a cream that you can get at a pet store that they use on horses.. I can't think of the name right now but my cousin used it for her nipples and also for diapper rashes and it worked Great. She called it a miracle cream because you can use it for other things even cuts and scrapes besides on horses..
