Is it very common if you've had preeclampsia with your first pregnancy to get with your second?

  • Had it with my first, but not the other two. If you've had it once, your doctor will likely keep a very close eye on you

    The risk of pre-eclampsia was 4.1% in the first pregnancy and 1.7% in later pregnancies overall. However, the risk was 14.7% in the second pregnancy for women who had had pre-eclampsia in their first pregnancy and 31.9% for women who had had pre-eclampsia in the previous two pregnancies.

  • I had it with my 1st but NOT my second every pregnancy is different as my OB/GYN told me. Good Luck :)
