  • My son turns 9 next month and what I did was sit him down and ask him what theme he wanted for his party. He wants a Dungeon theme (idk dont ask) and it to also be a costume party. So thats what were doing. I suggest you do the same then plan games, and things around that. Were going to have a pinata, bobbing for apples, face painting and what not.

  • I saw a really cute idea in a magazine last year. What do you think of an opposite themed party? You can really have a lot of fun with it. Print the invitations in reverse so guests have to use a mirror to read them. Ask the kids to come dressed backwards...hats flipped, shirts on backwards, shoes on the wrong feet. Make inside out sandwiches (meat on the outside, bread on the inside). Put the icing on the bottom of the cupcakes instead of the top. Have the kids eat cake and ice cream under the table instead of at the table. Play games with backwards rules (red light means go, green light means stop...simon says...egg and spoon race only walking backwards...potato sack race, get the idea). You could even take digital photos of the kids in their backwards attire and send them home with upside down pics with their name printed backwards on them. The possibilities are endless. =)
