Well it's not trendy, but still a faux pas....

They announced the name of the royal baby.. George Alexander Louis or GAL. I was always warned to avoid initials that spell other words. It's nice and traditional. I rather like it except for the initial thing. What do you think?

  • I wish they'd flipped it to Alexander George but they didn't ask me lol. I agree though, names that form another word can be problematic.

  • My initials are ARM so yeah, I don't like the initials thing either. I also don't care for the name George, but love Alexander.

  • I made sure my kids initials didn't spell anything, even though DH didn't get why.

  • The name has a nice ring to it, aside from the initials thing.

  • It's not that big a deal, he's the Prince for heaven's sake! It's not like he's going to get teased. :) My initials spell SAG and it doesn't bother me, so what do I know anyway, LOL!

  • I don't like George. I like Alexander. I don't like Louis.

Maybe it confirms the rumor I heard last week that they were thinking of the name Alexandra for a girl. I like Alexandra.
