Are there any religions besides Christianity

Where adherents claim you must belong to that religion to be sadness, go to heaven or the equivalent, etc. ?

  • Honestly, most other religions are more inclusive than the way Christianity is represented by the "mainstream," but not even all Christians or versions of Christianity say you must be Christian to be "saved." And there are extremists in all faiths, so you can find examples of any religion claiming that others are wrong, etc.

    I see religion as a spectrum : each individual falls in his or her own place on that spectrum from inclusive to exclusive belief, and each denomination or version of faith does as well, to a point. But every religion is made up of all of these different versions or individuals and cannot be generalized by what are really only parts of the whole.

    I've been a Christian all my life, pretty much, and have devoted the last 5 years to extensive study of the various faiths, but I have never heard this statement before...
