  • If the neighborhood is a mes, then no way. Just tell your daughter you want her to be safe and you couldn't stand it if something bad happened to her. Tell her it's not because she isn't mature enough. In my neighborhood, I'd let a girl of that age go.

  • by herself?

  • In this day and age, I think that's too far for a 10 yr old girl to walk by herself. Unless you live in a small town where everyone looks out for everyone.

  • Only you know your neighborhood and the maturity of your kid.

Where I live, and with my kid, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

  • Now days even teen girls should not walk alone. Tell her nope.

  • I'd let my kid, they run our town anyways. But I live in a everyone knows everyone and will report to you to your parents type of town.

  • Is she walking with a group or alone.
Sorry alone, not even when she is 18.

However if it is in a group I would say it is fine but with freedom comes added responsibility. So what task can you give her to aid the family?
