She wanted my sparklies! What could I do??

She and mommy were having a yard sale at their storage unit. She was all of 2 or 3 yrs. old, cute as a button, and found my glittered shirt and sparking jewelry fascinating. She jabbered cheerfully and incessantly while I walked around checking out mommy's sale. When I went to leave, she followed me to the car and wouldn't let me shut the door. "Wan' da sparklies." I tried showing her my t-shirt and necklaces again. I thought she probably just wanted to have another look. I tried telling her good-bye and giving her a hug. But she just kept saying "Wan' da sparklies." Mommy finally had to drag her away. I wanted to go to a store and buy her her own sparklies. She was just soooo adorable, but what could I do? I love my sparklies, too!

  • LOL cute kid, but yes why did mommy let her follow you? Little ones are so quick to move theses days. Glad she got back safely to mommy.

  • What kind of trashy mother lets her two year old follow a stranger to her car? Is she training this child to be a begger or hoping someone will take her home? That is not cute or funny. That is disgusting, irresponsible and dangerous.

You have to stop letting your ass think FOR you.  Mommy WAS there.  She followed the little girl when she ran up to our parked car and started jabbering away as we got out.  She followed her when she ran over to us as we were leaving.  In fact, we were both trying to figure out what she was saying.  She was such a sweetie.  She showed me her Crayola markers and her shirt.  Any ACTUAL mother knows how fast toddlers are when they finally learn to walk.  Mommy caught everything.
