How many dry nights in between until I should have my daughter go without a diaper?

She is almost 3. Has a lot of dry nights, but still has wet nights.

  • Does she have a lot more dry nights than wet ones? If she's having more dry than wet, then give it a shot and see what happens.

  • I waited about ten days after she started having dry nighttime diapers to go to underpants, and never have had any nighttime accidents with my daughter, but she was three and a half.

  • I'm trying for three in a row with my almost 4yo. For her it's really more about limiting liquids before bedtime. She is very interested in getting to three days in a row without feeling stressed or shamed and we have made an active push for it for the last month or so. We tried going cold turkey before that(at her insistance) but had to go back to pull ups after a week of wet beds and tears.

  • She is under 2 so she can't wake up when the urge hits you will be washing sheets like crazy.

  • It seems like it may be to early then. Maybe I will wait a few more months. She wakes up either at 1 am to pee or 5 am to pee. So her bladder does not seem to be able to hold it straight through the night yet. The 1am and 5am she can not do it by herself yet.

  • We did 7 straight dry nights. IT was easy for her to remember. :)
