My son is in the Navy, just got to school from Boot Camp and..

He had his laundry, including 2 uniforms stolen from the laundry.
You'd think you'd be able to trust your brothers in arms!
Now he has to pay for new Uniforms! I'm just venting because I'm pissed!
I told him to report it but he says they won't do anything about it.
I still say file a report, at least they'll know there's a thief!

Vent over!

  • So sad but my husband has had so much stolen from fellow soldiers. You can't trust anyone anymore, and just because they are in the military doesn't make them these amazing people. Think of all the Military men/women who are court martialed for murdered, abuse their spouses or kids, kill themselves, get kicked out for drugs and stealing. I know a number of people who are in the Army because it was Army or Jail time.

I'm sorry his things were stolen because that shits expensive!

  • That just sucks. I hope he does report it so there's at least some awareness of the problem.

  • Depending on his unit, tell him to get use to it. In my husband's first unit, people stole crap all the time. It eventually turned into somewhat of a game. If you left something out, expect it to be gone. I found 5 berets hidden in our closet once. Turns out my husband had snatched them when they were left out in the commons area in the garrison.

  • He just told me it's his fault and he takes full responsibility for it! He said he left to go to the head, came back and everything was gone.
    I love that kid!
