  • Most children don't need multi-vitamins. If the ped. things your child needs one he/she will tell you.

  • My babies had a check up at 15 months and the pediatrician said it would be fine to give the liquid kind to them (I didn't ask before that, so I don't know how much earlier it would have been ok). He said it is not really necessary if they eat a fairly well-balanced diet. I bought some, but I gave up on it; it tastes awful and my kids eat pretty well. I'll try again when they can take the chewables.

  • Most don't need them. Remember, too much of some vitamins will HARM her health, not just make expensive pee.
If she is eating well, you don't need one. If you are concerned, check with her doctor first. Mine gets 1/4 tablet each day with her doctor's approval.

  • Ditto the woman who said that they don't need them if they're eating a balanced diet. Exposure to normal "germs" builds up immunities that they need. Do it only with the doctor's approval. Then you know.

  • Mine are 2, 3 and 5...they're still not on a vitamin. They're pediatrician says they don't need one.

  • We started my daughter on vitamins when she was 2. It's become a daily routine that I wanted her to have so she'll take them her whole life. They may not really need them right now but they sure don't hurt.
