What are the benefits of eating organically?

Does anyone eat organically? Do you find it hard to do so? What are the benefits and drawbacks of doing so?

  • benefits is your not putting pesticides and loads of chemicals in your body, drawbacks, not always available and the cost is higher.

  • I think it all taste better and you dont' feel down in the dumps after you eat. You still have tons of energy and ready to bounce.....Try and see for yourself

  • Organic foods pack more nutrition than conventionally grown foods, so you are getting more for your dollar. Organic farming is also sustainable farming, which is better for the planet and better for us in the long run. Organically grown foods are also often locally grown, which means you are supporting your local economy and, because the foods are grown locally, they're generally fresher. And, as others have said, by eating organically grown foods, you are avoiding ingesting pesticides, herbicides, hormones, and chemical fertilizers, which have all been shown to alter body chemistry, sometimes quite significantly.

  • Another thing, the antibiotics pumped into animals can cause super bugs. Bacteria that is resistant to antibiotics. Meat and dairy is really important to be organic I think. Now the problem is finding it and affording it.
