  • Thank you for replying so quickly. He was fine when he left the house. He said the water was too deep. His friend had a headache too but it did not turn to a fever.

  • What makes you think the headache and fever are related to the depth of the swimming pool? Couldn't he have just gotten sick?

  • Unless they are scuba diving, the depth of the pool would have no bearing on anything.

  • There was a outbreak of something called "pool fever" where I used to live. The symptoms were

high fever that lasts 4-5 days sore throat....

conjunctivitis (inflamed eyes, usually without pus formation like pink eye)....

enlargement of the lymph nodes of the neck

    headache, malaise, and weakness ...

  • He's probably dehydrated with all the swimming, running & the heat. That causes headaches not the depth of a pool.

  • Could be the water pressure giving him a headache. I'd be concerned about the fever.
