1 Bump

We had our son's christening on Sunday. We had a reception following...

Naturally I invited my whole family. One of my first cousin's showed up empty handed. Didn't even say hello to me when she walked in. She then ate and left. She also babysat for us the night before for 4 hours. My husband paid her $100 and all she had to do was put my daughter to bed. My son sleeps through the night and was asleep when she got there. We also gave her dinner. My question is do I say anything to her about showing up without even a $3 card?

  • i think you're overreacting personally. i have family that only comes to eat and run too but its just the way they are. its also the reason i only choose to see them on special occasions. live & learn.

    • Really I don't know we're you people come from! Lol. Who raised you? You don't walk into a party without a gift ! No class !!!!!

You don't invite people to events solely on the expectation that they will bring gifts. It's RUDE and CLASSLESS.

  • Hmmmm not sure how you all were raised. It's called common courtesy to bring a gift to your family's party or any party. Is also called class.
