  • He can catch chickenpox from her if he has never had it or the vaccine.

You can't catch shingles from anyone. It comes from having the chickenpox prior.

  • Yes like the previous poster said he can get the chicken pox from her. That happened to me when my Daughter was newborn. A neighbor came over unannounced to see her. She walked in & I kissed her cheek. She said "Oh, I'm just getting over the shingles, see my cheeks? I almost puked because I did not notice it right away. The baby was sleeping in the Pack & Play & I stopped her from going over & said she just fell asleep please don't wake her. I exited her out very quickly & called the Pediatricians office. I spoke to the Nurse who said "your Neighbor is a dope & yes, the baby can get Chicken Pox from her. I said if I run & take a hot shower will it help & she asked if she touched the baby & I said no. She said go & shower but since there was no contact I think she'll be fine. I scrubbed my face raw in the shower I wanted to scream at that neighbor!

  • If he is not showing any symptoms, skip the doctor visit. Just call and see what they recommend.

  • Kids can still get a mild case of chicken pox even after they get the vaccination. Guess it's too late now. Keep a lookout for chicken pox.
