If someone has to get 8 baby teeth pulled at the age of 12 how long will it take for the adult teeth to come in????

My daughter is 12 and still has 8 baby teeth... and she has two teeth that are growing in her gums.... now the dentist said that the have to pull the 8 teeth then let the adult teeth grow and then put the braces on top and bottom .... but my question is how long is the adult going to grow in at the age of 12???? HELP???!!!! Thanks...

  • I think most 12 year olds have their permanent teeth by now so if your child doesn't yet there is really no telling, but I'm sure the dentist can give you a better answer as he can take an xray and see how far they are....
