  • ginger snaps and chewing gum....I get motion sickness really easy and the ginger snaps help with that. Chewing gum while taking off and landing really does help with the ear thing.
For the anxiety, give her a new toy or puzzle book to do while on the plane.

  • Anxiety is best dealt with through distractition at theis age.
Ear pain is best to chew gum or suck on a sucker during take of and landing. Not a bad Idea for adults either.

  • Lollipops are good for ear pain. For motion sickness, you can get a pair of seabands that go on the wrists. They're elastic bands with a small plastic ball on the inside surface that presses on a nerve connecting to the inner ear. Sailors use the bands to combat seasickness, but they are a ood option for kids because they're nonmedicinal. There's also Children's Dramamine, which will make kids sleepy and thus less anxious.
