Whats the proper way to store a leather coat?

I feel stupid asking but my mom just gave me a really nice, really expensive one, and I want to keep it nice!

  • Clean it as soon as it gets any kind of soil, with leather cleaner. Store out of sunlight and in a cooler place. Regular house temperature is fine. Do not store it dap and do not store it encased in plastic of any kind.

  • Also, use a wooden hangar and stuff with acid free paper when not in use for a long period of time.
    Leather tends to lose its shape.

  • Yes, stuff the shoulders so the hanger does not cause the leather to stretch out of shape.
