Accents

What kind of accents do you love? I love Southern accents, of course, Italian, Irish and British

What accents drive you nuts? For me some New York accents, like people that say "New Yo'K" or something like that, and Wisconsin accents, no thank you lol.

I'm pretty sure my Southern accent drives people nuts too! :)

  • It depends on the person with the accent. I am intrigued by British-country accents. The Southern-cockney accents are a bit annoying but there's one, I think it's a northern accent, that's kinda fun to listen to.

  • Love: Scottish, Irish, Southern

    Hate: Outsourced Tech Support

I love learning languages and cultures/customs so I enjoy all accents. People love when I can accurately place where they're from, just by their accent.

  • I melt over a British or Australian accent. I like an Irish accent also. New York and a Boston accent are favorites as well for me. I'm told that I have a little bit of a NY accent, I don't know why I do because I live in Pennsylvania...

  • Australian, Scottish, British, Irish...in that order. I had a Scottish physics professor; I actually enjoyed that physics class. Really the only time I don't enjoy listening to an accent is when you really need to understand what the other is saying. For instance, my Cal 2 professor was Polish, and it very difficult to understand what he was saying...making matters worse, he stuttered too.
