Can my 5 month old eat Grapes with peel?

I make my own baby foods and was wondering if I puree the grapes along with the peels very good if it would be okay for him to eat?

  • If it is pureed enough I do not see a problem.

  • I'd stick with more nutritious foods
Quartered grapes can be used to learn how to eat table foods as soon as the baby can sit unassisted

  • Better to wait. Peels can sometimes make a baby gag no matter how fine they are.

  • You need to purée them.

  • My daughter ate seedless grapes that I cut in half, or sliced if they were big, from the time she started to pick up table foods. Maybe eight months or so. Always cut grapes up, since whole ones can be a choking hazard.

  • The froze grapes in a mesh bag sounds like a great idea.
