My 14 month old has a double ear infection and bronchitis she's on antibiotics as of yesterday but has a fever of 101.6.. Should I be concerned

    It takes 24-48 hours for the meds to kick in
    Give her some Tylenol,and go to the ER if the temp keeps rising

  • I wouldn't worry unless the fever goes higher or your daughter starts to get dehydrated. Give her plenty of fluids. Popsicles might be a good option if she doesn't want to drink water.

  • Fever is the body's way of fighting infection. Her fever hasn't completely gone away because the infection isn't completely gone.

    Push fluids, give ibuprofen or aceteminafin as needed, lots of love, and just monitor the fever. 102 really isn't that high. If you have questions or concerns, call the doctor.

  • Nope. Fever is the body's natural defense. You can give Tylenol or ibuprofen if needed.

  • no not at all. thats not that high at all. give it a few more days. if you are worried you can always call for reassurance. I hope your LO feels better soon!
