  • It's not that simple. They'd have to know your income, your rent, things like that.

  • All you can do is check with the county offices where you want to go. There are a lot of variables to consider. The application is very lengthy.

  • Why don't you pocket the money your spending on internet and also you should know about child support laws and spousal support laws both where you are now and where you intend to go call legal aid before you move. You might get in trouble taking your child even if it's the best thing

  • Most people when relocating PLAN to find a job. You're moving with a PLAN to get food stamps.

  • According to CalFresh, the MAXIMUM monthly benefit is currently $200 for a family of 2, and will DROP to $189 on Nov. 1. http://www.calfresh.ca.gov/PG3318.htm

There are also work requirements to qualify:

    WORK REQUIREMENTS

All able-bodied persons (ages 18-49) without dependents must work 20 hours per week (monthly average 80 hours) or participate 20 hours per week in an approved work activity or do workfare. If not, these persons receive only 3 months of CalFresh benefits in a 36-month period. There are some exceptions, so contact your local County Welfare Department  to find out if you are eligible.
