How Long Does It Take...

To have CM delete your profile?

I have seen people post the, "I am leaving"! threads where the account was active 24 hours later.

Then other times a new profile is there for a question to be asked but gone by the time I have answered the question practically a few minutes later...

  • It seems to have changed over time. It used to be they'd try to talk you out of it, now they don't seem to care.

  • "It appears the admins have a hard-on for some members and have it out for others.."

Hmm....hypothetically speaking, of course, one might wonder what would precipitate such a significant shift in policy (written or no) .....you know what I mean?

  • And if the question is seemingly innocuous- would they delete a profile immediately?

It appears the admins have a hard-on for some members and have it out for others...

  • I suspect that if CM does it, it's immediate.

    Self deletion may be queued

  • Apparently it's 30 seconds or less to turn off the button that lets people type answers, though they can still vote and bump.

  • shift in policy

It's funny you should say that because I was going to make a similar comment on anther thread.
It appears to be related to the squeaky wheel theory.

Enough (unfounded) complaints have caused a few changes where industry standards are not acknowledged.
