Does clear mucus mean the beginning of my 9 and 1/2 year old daughter's period?

My daugter is 9 and 1/2 and has breast budding (1 breast is slightly bigger than the other), also she has pimples on her face like she is entering puberty. Could this clear mucus with a very, very slight color be the beginning of her period?

  • She is not cramping. My sister and I were both 10 and 1/2 and my mom was 10 yrs old. I guess I will just keep and eye on her. Thanks for the comments.

  • Could be. It could also be plain old discharge.

  • It wouldn't hurt to get her an appointment with her pediatrician, just to keep tabs on her development.

  • That's discharge it usually comes a year or two before a period my daughter is 11 and still has it but a liner might help because it gets rid of the smell gets you used to a pad and when it happens you will be protected
