DS lost his first tooth! How much should the "tooth fairy" leave him?

Not quite sure how much to leave under his pillow. But I've gotten suggestions anywhere from a quarter all the way up to $10. What do you think?

  • We did $5 for the first and $1 after (mainly because I didn't have any singles and he didn't tell me until bedtime). I know some kids at his school get a lot more.

  • I gave a quarter. But that was like 30 or so years ago. Inflation,  $1 or $2

  • Good point, mrsmom. I gave my son more than $1 when he needed some removed by oral surgery. He had 3 removed and I gave him $10 for them.
