This is in Canada, so different laws apply wrt free speech and harassment.

Where does the line for tolerance end?  Should people like the author of this letter be "tolerated" because "everyone is entitled to express their opinion"?

  • I keep thinking I hope her "normal" kids don't suffer a traumatic brain injury or something someday.... how sucky it would have to be to ride her high horse into a trailer in the woods.

  • I read this earlier and teared up
I am at a loss to understand how some people can be so hateful.

My initial thought is that it wasn't a mother at all, but some obnoxious teenager in the neighborhood. I suppose it's possible to have adult neighbors that trashy, but generally they know better. The pink paper also seemed more like someone going out of their way to be "womanly". That said, I don't give a damn who actually wrote it, only that whoever did (even if it turns out to be some kind of hoax and someone in the kid's own family did it) needs to be drawn and quartered.

  • That hit me between the eyes, I'll say that much. Being that hateful is repugnant, but I'm not sure if it's illegal or not. I hope the family filed a police rport anyway.

  • I was wondering if the person who wrote it was in that piece where everyone was rallying around the child, pretending to be supportive
